About the Million makers scheme and Cambridge Million Makers
In June 2010 The Princes Trust launched their Million Makers scheme. The scheme aims to utilise the Princes Trusts contacts with large business, firms and corporations to raise money to support the Charity.
The scheme is divided regionally across the United Kingdom with local organisations competing to raise the largest amount of money for the Charity. In the East of England Region Bidwells have submitted a team, known collectively as ‘The Cambridge Million Makers’.
Although the Cambridge Million Makers are assembled from Bidwells employees, they operate as a separate entity.
About the event
Held at Trinity College Great Hall, against a backdrop of art and musical performance, the ‘Celebration of the Arts’ will be a distinctive and entertaining charity event, focusing around the display and auction of art kindly donated from respected artists with a link to the East Anglia region.
All money raised through the auction will be used by The Prince’s Trust to continue its good work helping young people gain the skills and confidence to help them build the life they choose, rather than the one they’ve ended up with, and make a meaningful contribution to both UK society and the UK economy.
As well as the art exhibition and auction the event includes a buffet and refreshments, choral entertainment, an introduction to the work of The Prince’s Trust and an opportunity to bid on a number of unique experiences that ‘money can’t buy.’
