Art Exhibition Private View Invitation

The Landmark Art Gallery is open to the public during January and February 2010, entrance is free. Housed within the wonderful gothic surroundings of the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington in London, the Landmark Art Fairs are now recognised as the most important events in the visual arts calendar. A 19th century Grade II* listed building, the Centre was a former church, which is now preserved for the benefit of the entire community. This distinctive setting and steadily high visitor numbers help to make the fairs enjoyable and profitable for the artists and makers that it continues to attract from the very highest end of the art market.
To complement the successful art fairs and busy schedule of creative activities, the Landmark Arts Centre has a new space – the Landmark Art Gallery – available year-round for visual arts exhibitions.
Approximately 100 visual artists will be exhibiting be exhibiting nearly 300 artworks at the first Landmark Show. The aim of this exhibition is to launch our new permanent visual arts gallery. This will be available all year round for artists to hire, giving them an opportunity to show a wider body of work over a chosen period of time. This will continue the reputation of the Landmark Arts Centre as a supporter and promoter of the individual visual artist and give the residents and visitors to Teddington high quality exhibitions all year round.
Curated by Ben Kidger, the exhibition will feature high quality work from established and emerging artists and continues the development of the Landmark as a visual arts resource for the whole community. This exhibition will show case work from a broad range of mediums, from figurative watercolours to contemporary digital art work and from local artists and makers to international practitioners, aiming to break into this bustling and energetic market.
The show will be open to public from Saturday 9th January until Friday 29th January, and then it will reopen on Tuesday 9th February until Sunday 28th February. Several of our artists will have their work on display during Landmark Gallery Show – Branko Dimitrijevic, Ema Radovanovic, Silva Vujovic and Zoran Calija. All our members are invited to the private view on Friday 8th January from 6.00pm – 8.30pm.
